Crossing of the Gibraltar strait
After the first ever crossing of the channel and beating the world record of tandem skydiving, Thierry Demonfort, a test skydiver and combat swimmer for the national marines adds yet one more world record to his achievements; by crossing the Gibraltar straits on 9th September 2003 with a hybrid parachute, setting off at 4700 metres of altitude from a hot air balloon piloted by the balloonist Jo Roulet. 30 km of flight later, after having left Europe, the hot air balloon and the skydiver land on the African continent near Tangiers, in Morocco.
